Personal Chef Agreement

The Client (you) is hiring Fresh Lime - Chef Z for the services described in this contract.

Menu Planning and Proposals

Fresh Lime - Chef Z will collaborate with you, the client, on a custom-curated menu proposal based on the information provided in your client profile. For quality control purposes, Chef Z asks that the client/chef correspondence be in writing via email. Proposals are to be confirmed by 8 a.m. on your service date. Failure to do so will be considered a last-minute cancellation (see cancelation fees below). Menu planning, correspondence, travel fees, and the sourcing of groceries and ingredients are included in the client’s quoted total rate. All of the agreed-upon menu items are subject to change from the initial menu due to ingredient availability, quality, or other unforeseeable factors. Fresh Lime sources organic ingredients first, then local/sustainable from high-quality grocery stores. Please inform Chef Z if you would prefer her to frequent a different store. In some cases, it is necessary to supplement ingredients from your neighborhood grocery stores, specialty food stores, and farmers' markets.

Scheduling

Chef Z will promptly arrive at your home at the agreed-upon time on the agreed-upon date(s). Chefs will need full access to the cooking area for an estimated 2-5 hours. Please make your home accessible to your chef on the scheduled cook date. If for some reason, your chef cannot access your home (locks were changed, tricky pets, etc..) you will be charged as a last-minute cancellation and will be expected to be reimbursed for the cost of your groceries. Clients, children, pets, and other distractions should be out of the kitchen area on all scheduled cook dates. We respectfully request that the client allow the chef to perform their professional services without interruption.

Home Kitchens

Chef Z takes great pride in her work and promises to respect you, your home, and your equipment. Chef Z will leave her work space as clean as they found it, remove their personal equipment, and put away all leftover groceries. Please make sure your kitchen area is clean and ready for your chef on their scheduled cook date and that your meal containers are ready for use. If chefs arrive at an unsuitable workspace, they will document the area with a photo(s) and a cleaning fee of $50 will be added to the invoice for that service date. If the kitchen does not meet basic health code standards (i.e. no running water, no electricity, etc...) the chef will prepare and store what they can, you will be charged and reimbursed for groceries.

Invoices

Fresh Lime - Chef Z will invoice the Client after the completion of milestone(s) or the Project unless otherwise noted in the Payment schedule. The Client agrees to pay invoice(s) by the due date(s) specified. Unpaid or overdue invoices may result in ending a business relationship with Fresh Lime - Chef Z. Chef Z is not obligated to continue doing business with you or in the future if this contract is broken.

Deposit

A booking will not be considered ‘Confirmed’ until a deposit has been received.

Should you need to make any changes to your booking you can do so at any stage up to 14 days prior to the event. Final numbers will need to be advised 2 weeks prior to the event.

A 50% deposit for any cooking event at the time of confirmation can be paid 2-4 weeks

The final 50% payment will be due within 2 weeks of the event.

Payment methods

Payment will be made to Fresh Lime via cash, check, or an approved payment card, or by any other payment method determined by Fresh Lime.
Invoices are sent from Fresh Lime through Square via email after the service date. 15 days after the service date, a late fee of 10% of the invoice will be added to the outstanding bill along with a credit card processing fee of an additional 2.7% of the invoice. Fresh Lime accepts all major credit cards. If you choose to pay by credit card, there is no processing fee unless your bill is considered outstanding. Fresh Lime does not accept Venmo or PayPal payments. Please contact Fresh Lime- Chef Z at freshlimeevents1@gmail.com to discuss alternative payment methods.

 

No refunds

The Client will be assumed to have accepted the Goods unconditionally unless a claim that the Good(s) are defective is made within [timeframe] from the date of delivery. There are no refunds after Chef Z has finished an event from the client. There are no refunds on deposits if the date of service is upcoming.

Licensing

Fresh Lime - Chef Z promises that it holds all licenses necessary to perform the work, that such licenses are valid and effective as of the date any work is performed or services provided, and that all work performed or services provided will be done in compliance with all applicable federal, state, or local laws and regulations.

Food Safety

Your meals will be packaged and supplied with suggested heating and serving instructions for your convenience. However, the instructions are subject to inaccuracies due to inconsistent oven temperatures, type of equipment, etc. Instructions may also be written-in on printouts due to changes in the dish and how it was stored on-site. Chef Z reserves the right to throw away food that she deems to be unfit for consumption. This may include the previous week's meals the chef prepared. Fresh Lime - Chef Z is not to be held liable if you choose to ignore common food safety practices by not storing, defrosting, reheating, or using proper sanitation in regard to your meals.

Expenses

The Client will reimburse Fresh Lime for reasonable expenses incurred by the Business in the provision of services under this Contract.

Refunds

If you are not completely satisfied with the work completed or services provided, you can contact us within [refund window] and we will issue you a refund for up to [refund amount] of your original purchase.

​

Warranty

No refunds will be provided for the work completed or services performed under this contract. Services or work completed are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship until [warranty time frame].

​

Modifications

The Client and the Fresh Lime - Chef Z must agree to any changes to this contract in writing.

Termination of contract

The Contract ends on [contract end date] unless one of the parties ends the contract before that time. If one of the parties chooses to end the Contract prior to Project completion, the Client is responsible for paying for all work and costs incurred up until that date.

Cancellations

Please provide two weeks of advanced notice if you choose to cancel a cook date. If you fail to give proper notice to your Chef, the rate will be invoiced to you on the canceled cook date. We do understand life happens and events have to be rebooked, if this happens please cancel with 24 hours as soon as you are available.
